Tourist Officials Visit

Our class was visited by officials from the Galesburg Convention & Visitors Bureau. Director of Tourism Diane Bruening (left) was accompianed by Jean Jacobs (right) to speak to the class about promoting tourism. Tourism affects Galesburg's economy in many ways; for instance, last year the Orpheum Theatre made more than $1 million.

They distributed many items that they hand out at the Visitor's Bureau and spoke about getting people from all over Illinois to Galesburg.
